We’re not so big on rules, but there’s a few things you need to read and agree on so we can stay in business and book your shoot in.

It is mutually agreed that the following terms & conditions form part of this contract & that no modification shall be effective unless accepted by both parties.

COPYRIGHT

This agreement constitutes an order for wedding photography including prints and/or albums & electronic media. It is understood that copyright of all images remains the property of Made Of Light Photography, and that they may be used for advertising or display purposes.

LIABILITY

All possible care will be taken with the negatives & photographs taken at the photoshoot/event. However, in the unlikely event of total photographic failure, injury, or sickness beyond our control, Made Of Light Photography’s liability shall be limited to a full refund of monies paid.

EXCLUSIVITY

Made Of Light Photography shall be the sole professional photographer at the photoshoot/event.

BOOKING DEPOSIT

A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, together with this signed contract. Dates will not be reserved until the deposit is received. An unconditional refund policy exists for a period of 30 days from receipt of this contract as long as the cancellation date is not less than four months prior to the photoshoot/event.

BALANCE PAYMENT

The balance of payment for the package ordered is due not later than one week prior to the photoshoot/event date to relieve the pressure on the day. Payment for additional items is due at the time of ordering.

CANCELLATION

If Made Of Light Photography has to cancel this contract for reasons beyond their control such as sickness, injury, death or losing an arm in a crocodile fight etc. their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. If the photoshoot/event or this contract is cancelled less than four months prior to the photoshoot/event date, the deposit is forfeited and will be non-refundable. If the cancelled photoshoot/event is a postponement, then subject to our availability, all monies paid can be applied to the new photoshoot/event date.

CREATIVE LICENCE

Made Of Light Photography will be granted creative and artistic licence in relation to the type of shots taken. Made Of Light Photography will do their best to honour requested photos. However, due to changes in weather, availability and willingness of subjects etc, they do not undertake to guarantee any specific picture or group arrangement, nor any specific background or location.

ARTISTIC STYLE

The Client acknowledges that they are familiar with the Photographer’s portfolio and are requesting services with knowledge of the Made Of Light Photography’s style, and that:
a) The Photographer’s work is constantly evolving;
b) The Photographer’s services are of unique and artistic nature;
c) The photographs may be different from photographs taken by the Photographer in the past; and
d) In creation of the photographs, the Photographer shall use their personal artistic judgment
to create images consistent with their personal vision of the event, which may be different to the Client’s and the subject’s. Accordingly, the Client acknowledges that the photographs shall not be subject to rejection on the basis of taste or aesthetic criteria.

TIME LIMIT ON SELECTING PRINTS / ALBUM

Made Of Light Photography will store the Clients photography images for up to 18 months, unless it is requested otherwise from the Client.

PRIVACY

Made Of Light Photography will store your name and photoshoot/event details on a private internal database. These details will not be made available to companies or individuals outside of Made Of Light Photography. Should you wish to have your details removed from our database, please advise us in writing.
